Liquor delivered another year of growth in 2015, with domestic sales up 4.1%. One driver of growth has been the growing thirst for whiskeys, both the American varieties – Bourbon, Tennessee and Rye – and imported Irish whisky and Irish whisky.

As Global Trade reports, citing Datamyne trade statistics, the rising popularity of whiskies at home and abroad has made this the leading product category among US imports and exports of distilled spirits.
